Comfort Audio, Sweden

Audio engineer

Do you want to be a part of changing people's lives while working on the latest technology?

We develop products that make a difference and we can offer you exciting work as a developer where your ideas will be used in a fascinating, high-tech and international environment. Our focus is wireless hearing products that improve the quality of the everyday life for people with hearing impairment. We have a long history as a technology leader in digital and wireless voice communications.

We need to strengthen our development team and seek a person who wants to work with innovative solutions, from idea to serial production for our radio-based hearing products. In your job you will gain insight into the world's most advanced hearing aids and the underlying technology that is also the basis of our products.

Together with our colleagues in Switzerland, we are responsible for new development and maintenance of our wireless product portfolio. As an Audio Engineer, you are involved in all the subsystems and development phases of the product, thus providing an overall view that not all development companies can offer. Some of your main tasks will be:

  • Measurements, performance verification and documentation of components and our products. Since the audio tests also include subjective assessment of the sound, you need to have sensitive ears.
  • Development and verification of audio features together with our DSP engineers.
  • Responsibility for equipment and measurement methods in our audio lab.

Our development model is based on close cooperation within and between the development teams. You and your team work independently in the projects with constant contacts with colleagues within mechanics, electronics, software, project managers and other specialist expertise in acoustics and signal processing in Halmstad and at our cooperating offices in Switzerland. We mostly communicate with our colleagues outside Halmstad via our video system, skype, mail, etc. Occasionally, you will also travel to Switzerland for face-to-face meetings.

We believe that you have an academic background, such as a master or bachelor degree preferably within audio signal processing. Relevant professional experience is an asset but we will also consider newly graduates. You have the following skills:

  • Good knowledge of electrical measurement technology, especially in the field of audio.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of digital signal processing and a desire to learn more.
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab
  • Practical touch with soldering
  • Fluent English in speech and writing.

Special interest or experience in audio and acoustics such as loudspeakers, microphones, studio work, etc. is meritorious. As a person, we believe that you work well both individually and in groups. You are used to working structured and documenting your work. You are also independent, experiential, initiative- and result oriented.

Our premises are located close to the airport in Halmstad and modern and nice. We who work here are a committed, ambitious and look forward to getting new colleagues. We have flexible working hours, health promotion activities and other initiatives to maintain our team spirit.
